 Open Source Software (OSS) Competition 

The Open Source Software Development Competition for university students is held biennially to both encourage young up-and-coming local ICT talents and popularize software development in Open Source technologies. Prizes include certificates and cash prizes.

 Top ICT Graduates Awards 

These awards, which are promoted in collaboration with Swinburne University, Sarawak and Curtin University, Sarawak, are given to recognize the top ICT graduates from the two universities. Prizes include joint certificates and cash prizes provided by SAINS.

This event is organised annually.


 Industrial Placement Programme 

Students from UNIMAS, UiTM, Curtin, Swinburne, MMU, etc are accepted into this industrial training programme for 6- months to experience on the job training.

 Joint Research 

Collaborative Research & Development with Swinburne University, Sarawak to design and develop electronic devices, to integrate and enhance equipment, as well as software which is in development or  currently in use in the business community. An Electronics Design and Automation Laboratory has been jointly setup at the University’s School of Engineering and Science. The laboratory is used by researchers for the design and development of industrial prototypes that are necessary for demonstrating the feasibility of the projects that will be undertaken.

This is an ongoing project.
