|Integrated Court Solution|
The Justitia Solusis Integrated Court Solution is a world-class award winning system that has won multiple awards including, the UN's World Summit Award (2009), the MSC Malaysia Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Award (2008), the Best EG-MSC Flagship Application (2006) and the Prime Minister’s ICT Quality Award (2007).
Justitia Solusis promotes productivity and efficiency for judiciary processes to benefit the judiciary and court officials, the advocates, the parties in trial cases and the public at large. The Justitia Solusis Integrated Court Solution is comprised of nine (9) systems:
At the core, and central to the architecture, is the Judiciary Community System (JCS), commonly known as court Case Management System (CMS). This is the foundation of the solution. JCS serves to facilitate judiciary processes within the court, particularly the management of court cases, all the way from case filing, case assignments and scheduling, to case disposition. JCS creates a virtual environment for court personnel to work anywhere, anytime.
The following systems, each with their own focus areas, work cohesively with the Judiciary Community System to steer and manage the case management processes of the Courts:
The Justitia Solusis Portal is the primary gateway for the Courts to reach its external customers and stakeholders. Through this gateway, information such as general court information, announcements, news, cause lists and trial judgments are made accessible to the general Public, via the Internet.
The Advocate Community System (ACS) and the Prosecutor Community System (PCS) are dedicated sub-systems for the advocate community and prosecutor community respectively. These systems are embedded systems that provide advocates and prosecutors with their own dedicated Case Management System (CMS) to allow them to manage their own cases. Lawyers and prosecutors may view and work on real-time data of cases as they are updated at the Court.
The Advocate Community System (ACS) and the Prosecutors Community System (PCS) comes with the e-Filing System that facilitates the electronic filing process of a case and subsequently enables legal documents to be filed electronically throughout the court proceedings. The system is seamlessly integrated with a digital signature function.
To enable systematic and organized sequencing of the multiple court hearings of the day, the Court-Advocate Resource Engagement (CARE) System provides up-to-date information on the court cases happening on court premises. The solution is able to “queue a trial” when all key attendees are present. From the moment the advocates or parties involved enter the court premises, starting from court lobbies all the way to each courtroom, CARE interfaces with users via audio and visual media.
The RFID File Tracking System, customized to the Court’s environment, is fully integrated with the Judiciary Community System (JCS) for better management of case files. Each new case registered in the system is assigned with an RFID tag. The RFID tag is then attached to the new physical file folder created. Any exhibits presented in the trial can also be tagged and tracked.
During court hearings, the solution provided by the Court Recording & Transcription System (CRT) facilitates the recording and tracking of audio and video in order to ease the development of court-transcripts of the proceedings.
“Virtual Court Trials” are enabled through the use of the Video Conferencing System (VCS). The system enables court trials to be carried out even when attendees are at different locations, thereby reducing time and travelling costs.
The secondary gateway through the System Integration component allows the Courts to interface and integrate with relevant systems such as e-payment gateway and SMS gateway.
